This promotional poster for The Maritime Aquarium was a playful yet purposeful exercise in visual communication. I began with the concept of using meerkats—naturally curious and socially engaging animals—to draw viewers in and create an emotional connection. The phrase "Join the Mob" was chosen as a clever double entendre, referencing both the group name for meerkats and inviting guests to be part of the aquarium community. I carefully selected a warm, vibrant background to contrast with the meerkats’ neutral tones, ensuring they remained the focal point. Using Photoshop and Illustrator, I refined composition, adjusted lighting for clarity, and integrated the aquarium's logo in a way that felt balanced and professional. This project taught me how to combine clever copy with strong imagery to deliver a message that is both informative and engaging.

This advertising poster for Open Doors was a deeply meaningful experience that combined my graphic design skills with a cause. I wanted to highlight the harsh reality of homelessness while also offering a sense of hope, so I centered the design around street art that symbolizes protection and optimism amidst struggle. The title "Colors of Hope: Painting a New Future" guided the visual tone—I used soft but vibrant colors and contrast between the stark environment and the expressive mural to evoke transformation and resilience. I carefully placed the typography to complement the composition without overpowering the visual narrative, and used the organization’s logo to ground the message with a real call to action. This project pushed me to balance emotional weight with visual clarity, reminding me how powerful design can be when it's driven by purpose.

This promotional ad for Fit Body Boot Camp was an exciting opportunity to create a bold, motivating message that resonates with real-life schedules. I focused on using clean, bright visuals and energetic type to convey the accessibility and positivity of 30-minute workouts. The phrase “Fit your body in your lifestyle” was chosen to speak directly to busy individuals, especially working adults or parents, emphasizing that fitness can be realistic and rewarding. I used a strategic color palette—blue for trust, yellow for energy—and carefully placed text to maintain balance while ensuring strong visibility against the background. This project helped me refine my skills in advertising design, visual hierarchy, and crafting clear, audience-driven messaging.
