Designing a movie poster is the art of capturing an entire story in a single, striking image that sparks curiosity and emotion. It blends visual storytelling, typography, and mood to create a first impression that draws audiences into the film’s world.

Good Boy: Designing the Good Boy movie poster was a rewarding deep dive into conceptual storytelling through graphic design. I focused on enhancing the eerie, dystopian tone by darkening the background and spotlighting the subject’s intense eye peeking through the helmet—drawing viewers into the unsettling world of the film. I incorporated detailed layering and color correction to make the wires and helmet appear more tactile and chaotic, reflecting the film's psychological tension. The neon-style typography was carefully crafted to resemble a childlike glow with an unsettling twist, reinforcing the contrast between innocence and control suggested by the tagline “Mommy knows best.” This project pushed me to think critically about composition, lighting, and type as narrative tools, and it helped solidify my voice as a visual communicator.

Casting Couch:As a senior in college, designing the Casting Couch movie poster was both a creative challenge and a powerful storytelling opportunity. I used Photoshop to manipulate lighting, color grading, and blur effects to create a dramatic, cinematic tension between the two characters. The neon-style typography was carefully chosen to contrast innocence and exploitation, reinforcing the film's provocative question: "How far would you go for the right part?" Through adjustment layers, masking, and careful visual layering, I was able to heighten the emotional weight and visual clarity of the scene. This project taught me how design can amplify narrative themes and make a strong emotional impact using subtle cues in composition and color.
